J3 lieutenant

I’ll put a Scout on I3. Current setup:

2 Lieutenants
4 Sergeants
2 Miners
2 Scouts

A2 Sergeant

C3 Lieutenant

Since there is already a piece on C3, I’ll assume you meant C2 and put your Lieutenant there.

I will then put a Scout on A1. Current setup:

Also, it seems Stratego.com has finally gone down permanently, so I’m not sure when we will be able to have a volunteer to play with this setup and post it on YouTube. I suppose the matches could be played on an unofficial alternative, but posting links to them here would apparently be against the rules.

I'm happy to give this setup a try on another platform and then post the result (as I did for the first community setup) if I'm allowed to, but if not then I will respect the rules.

There is no update in the policy regarding this.

As mentioned in another thread, we are still discussing future proof discussions.

No, I didn’t change anything. Not sure what could have been the problem. Regardless, I will put a Sergeant on B1. Current setup:

Ok, so I’ll put a Lieutenant on I1. The last remaining piece is a Sergeant, so I’ll go ahead and fill that in as well. Final setup:



I am not really sure what the most optimal way to play this setup is. It’s probably best to attack down the left side with the General first and make space for the Spy to get to the middle if necessary. That will also create space for the front row pieces in the middle to escape.

I think you have to use bluff protection early for the Colonel and Major in the middle and just kinda hope that the opponent doesn’t call the bluff... It’s going to be very hard to protect both of them, but there isn’t much that can be done about it. At least with them being next to each other, that should theoretically allow them to use the 2-square to keep at least 1 of those pieces from getting killed by the same piece lol...

I will be keeping an eye on KnightofPepsi’s YouTube channel in the event that he decides to post matches with this setup as well. I’m pretty sure posting links to matches on alternative sites is still against the rules, so I guess those of you who are interested in seeing future matches should just keep an eye on his channel.

This really deserves a 2 out of 10
