Challenge of the week - 3
Hi all,

Here another challenge.

Its the last round in a tournament and you know the opponent is a good lotto player and an excellent bluffer. You are in the race for a medal if you win or play a draw.

Your opponent, blue player, can win the tournament if he wins.

The opponent still has, apart from the known pieces:

4 unknown bombs
2 unknown sergeants
2 unknown miners

Is this easily winnable? What is your game plan and why?

Since it is red's turn red has no problem. Move the captain left, as ss said. Only if it were blue's turn would blue have a shot.

Yes, even if it were blue's turn, blue would need to have red make a key mistake in order to win. The blue Captain would have to advance next to the red lieutenant and then the red lieutenant would have to evade. At this point the blue captain would be able to walk to the flag and the red captain could not stop it. This assumes blue knows precisely where the red flag is.
